  3. Thanks TC and yes I create all my own projects and write the patterns for most here. I enjoy crafting and sharing my ideas with others so they can also take advantage of the ideas. Take care and thanks for the reciprocating visit to my blog.

  5. I have no web site but wanted to say thanks for starting me on a project to raise money for the Cancer society. I tell people I can only take credit for the work but you all make it possible. It has been a challenge but much worth it. Thanks again.

  6. Love this idea…and am learning to decipher which plastic bags to keep…I am going to make one once I start traveling and would you like to send me the pattern…I am trying to get a couple of elderly woman crotchet wizzes to change fibers! I am happy to send you something in return…Kate

  7. @Kate — Thank you for the comment. You can use the pattern for free from my blog site. It’s okay to print it out and use it for personal use and to share with elderly people who may not use the internet. Let me know if you need it emailed to you or something further once you reach your location. Best wishes to you on your projects.

  8. Thank you for sharing this pattern. I’ve made a couple of totes using a pattern from another site and was looking for more plarn projects. This will be perfect for my next attempt!

  9. Hi! About how wide do you cut your strips? I tried a couple of different hooks since I didn’t have an N and it was like trying to crochet concrete. I must be doing something wrong. THANKS! Carol

  10. @Carol – I cut them 1 inch wide and crochet with a N (9 mm) metal hook as it seems to work best at least for me. I sent you an email with some tips to hopefully help out. Crochet loosely and keep practicing as it does get easier.
