V Stitch Blanket and Scarf Pattern

I have a new crochet stitch that I am just in love with. It is called the V Stitch and it is very easy and simple to crochet many different projects using this stitch. I have already used the stitch pattern to make a blanket and a scarf.

There are several different versions of the V Stitch and I do mine without a chain stitch between my double crochet stitches. It makes for a less-holey project and works up faster for me without having to chain between stitches.

To crochet the small blanket or lapghan, I chained 101 stitches to start with a H (5 mm) crochet hook.

Wavy Ripple Lapghan

Just finished up crocheting this blue and green wavy ripple lapghan for the Warmth for Warriors. I used the basic wavy ripple blanket pattern of mine. This blanket has the wave going side to side rather than up and down.

I used Red Heart yarns in navy blue and melon green to complete the lapghan. I crocheted 4 rows in each color. I started the lapghan with a chain of 107

Mini Galaxy of Change

Just a quick post to review and share the Mini Galaxy of Change blanket pattern. I have crocheted other blanket patterns from Frank O’Randle and have enjoyed working the unique stitch patterns he presents in his works.

I crocheted the blanket with a H (5 mm) crochet hook and used most of the colors called for in the pattern. I did use Teal colored yarn instead of one of the blues as I had it on hand. Here is a closeup of the center portion.

My Corner to Corner Afghan

Here is my first ever corner to corner afghan. I crocheted this using one strand of black yarn held with different shades of blue scrap yarn I had in my stash. I tried to do a color scheme by starting and ending with the same bright shade of blue yarn. I then just used some different colors with a light blue yarn in the center.

I used this corner to corner afghan pattern to crochet my blanket. The pattern has a good video tutorial that is found here which I found very useful on how to get the pattern started.

Here is one photo while the lapghan was in progress.
