I love crocheting little doll dresses. They work up so quickly and only require a small amount of yarn to complete. I used my doll heart dress and added a flare skirt for a different look to the final crocheted dress project.

Here is a photo of the original heart doll dress that features just a straight bodice. Both of these crochet patterns fit a small baby doll that is between 12-13 inches tall.
Crochet Pattern Details for Doll Flare Heart Dress
H (5 mm) crochet hook used for body of dress
G (4 mm) crochet hook used for trim and heart
2 ounces of worst weight yarn – Red Heart With Love Solids Yarn used in Daffodil color
Small amount of white yarn used for trim and the heart
Follow the crochet pattern details found here and at row 9, Ch 2 and work 2 double crochet (DC) in each stitch around and join with a slip stitch into the Ch-2 at beginning of row. Don’t turn just keep working in the round on the same side. Repeat row 9 working 2 DC in each stitch.
Row 11-12 – Ch 2 and work 1 DC in each stitch around. Join with slip stitch into the Ch-2 beginning of row.
Add trim using white yarn. Work neck trim as outlined in original pattern and add the heart to center of dress as shown.
Attach velcro strip to back of dress for closure. Finished length is 7 inches long from shoulder to hem.
